How to Prepare for a Mobile Detail Appointment (Checklist)

Getting ready for a mobile detail takes about five minutes. Here's everything we need from you, so the appointment starts on time and you get the most out of it.

    1. Water and power. For any service that includes the exterior — Exterior Wash & Wax, Full Detail, paint correction or ceramic coating — we need a working water spigot (garden hose connection) and a standard power outlet within reach of the car. Interior-only details just need power. If the outlet is in the garage, leave it open or let us know where to plug in.

    2. Where the car is parked. Park somewhere we can walk all the way around the vehicle with a bit of room for our equipment. A driveway is ideal. For apartments, condos and workplaces, make sure the property allows it before the day — we'll confirm water and power with you when you book.

    3. Personal items. Take out valuables, car seats you want to keep installed a certain way, and anything you don't want moved. We clean around what's left, but the fewer items in the car, the more thorough the interior detail. Empty the trunk if you want it vacuumed.

    4. Tell us about the car honestly. Heavy pet hair, strong odors, lots of stains or sand all take extra time. The instant quote asks about each one so the price is right up front. If anything is different on the day, we'll tell you before doing extra work.

    5. Pets and kids. Keep pets inside while we work; hoses, pressure and open doors are a bad mix for curious dogs.

    6. Weather. Light clouds are perfect. If rain or extreme cold makes it unsafe or impractical to work, we'll reschedule with you at no charge. Ceramic coatings need the car to stay dry for 24 hours after application, so we'll watch the forecast with you for those.

    7. Boats and RVs. Boats must be out of the water on a trailer or blocks. RVs just need to be parked where we can reach them, with water and power for anything exterior.

    8. Payment. Payment is due when the work is done. We accept cash, credit and debit cards, tap-to-pay, Venmo, Zelle and Cash App. We don't accept checks.

That's it. You don't need to be standing outside the whole time — just be reachable by phone. Ready to book? Get your price in about a minute with the instant quote, or read what to expect from a ceramic coating.
